£200 to £235 per day depending on experience.
Due to further business growth, we are looking for an experienced Vinyl Floor Layer to join our team!
Lakeside Construction Services Limited is looking for an experienced floor layer, specialising in vinyl flooring, to join teams of tradesmen nationally. Work involves applying latex floor levelling compound and flat laying sheet vinyl flooring to client premises. The role requires precision, attention to detail and a strong understanding of installation techniques, including welding wet room joints and Cap & Cove.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Layer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring materials across commercial projects nationally. Your expertise will help create safe, durable, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces that meet project specifications and client expectations. Responsibilities
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary primers or adhesives to ensure proper flooring installation.
- Measure spaces accurately using tape measures and schematics to determine the amount of materials needed.
- Use construction painting techniques to finish edges or transition strips for a seamless look.
- Operate various hand tools like hammers, chisels, saws, and trowels safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris regularly during each phase of installation.Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on flooring installation or related trades.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of different flooring materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship that adheres to safety standards.
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with construction painting and familiarity with blueprints or schematics.
