Our client based in Leicester is looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join their team on permanent basis.
Working hours:
Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Overtime available on Saturdays (8am-12pm)
Pay rate:
£17 to £22 (negotiable- depending on experience)
The role:
- Maintenance and servicing of a fleet of HGV’s/ Light Vehicles Class 4, 5 &7
- MOT preparation on vehicles
- Inspection of fleet every 8 weeks to ensure consistent smooth running and minimise downtime.
- To follow correct Health and Safety procedures at all times
- To ensure vehicle breakdowns and repairs are dealt with in line with company procedures
- To ensure appropriate paperwork is completed
Requirements:
- Possess sound knowledge of all HGV/ Light Vehicles mechanical functions
- Ability diagnose problems effectively
- Work to MOT standards at all times Experience in the servicing of HGV’s/Light Vehicles
- Experience in maintaining vehicles including PMI inspections
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- HGV Class 1 License (C+E) desirable but not essential.
- City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance is preferred
