Key responsibilities
-
Setting and operating CNC machines (programming exp and advantage)
-
Machine alignments
-
CNC milling (CNC turning and CNC grinding experience also a bonus)

Working with components and free-issue material of varying qualities
-
Using hand tools and standard measuring equipment to tight tolerances
-
Reading and understanding engineering drawings/processes
-
Working independently with minimal supervision; strong team contribution

Complying with relevant H&S requirements

Maintaining ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards throughout the process
Skills & experience
-
Apprentice trained or time-served engineer (City & Guilds or BTEC level)
-
Experience in precision subcontract machining/engineering
-
Proactive problem-solver; hard-working and extremely reliable
-
Flexibility with working hours when required to meet customer deadlines
