About Us
The Morris Group is a fast-growing e-commerce business specialising in HVAC and Lighting products, and proud owner of the Morris brand. We design, manufacture and supply a wide range of quality electrical products — from Heating solutions to Air Conditioning and LED Lighting — sold directly to customers across the UK and beyond.
We have built a prominent presence across the UK's leading online marketplaces including Amazon, eBay, Temu, Shopify, and B&Q, and our reputation for reliable products at competitive prices has driven consistent, strong growth year on year.
We are a small but ambitious team based in Dudley, West Midlands, and right now we are at an exciting point in our journey — expanding rapidly and looking for the right people to grow with us. If you want to be part of a business where your work genuinely matters and the opportunities are real, you are in the right place.
The Opportunity
This is not your typical Operations Manager role. We are looking for someone who thrives on variety and wants to be a key part of a growing team where their contribution is genuinely felt every single day.
One day you could be overseeing warehouse operations, the next you are handling a customer escalation or making outbound sales calls to build new business relationships. If you are the kind of person who adapts easily, gets stuck in, and takes pride in making a difference — this role was built for you.
You will be joining a friendly, fast-paced team at an exciting stage of our growth, with real scope to shape how the business operates and leave your mark across multiple areas of the company. No two days will be the same, and that is exactly the point.
What You'll Be Doing
Operations
● Overseeing the day-to-day running of warehouse operations and being the go-to person when issues are flagged by staff
● Holding warehouse operatives to a high standard — ensuring quality of work, accuracy of orders, and that every customer receives their goods on time and in perfect condition
● Resolving operational problems on the ground — from WMS system queries through to getting hands on with picking and packing as and when required
● Managing daily collections with our courier partners to ensure smooth outbound fulfilment
● Liaising with suppliers to coordinate incoming stock, managing logistics and ensuring stock levels are maintained in line with forecasted demand
Customer Service
● Answering customer calls and emails, acting as a senior point of contact for queries and complaints
● Serving as the escalation point for our customer service advisors — supporting them with complex product questions and difficult situations
● Developing a strong understanding of our full HVAC and LED Lighting product range — full training will be provided — so you can confidently answer both customer and staff queries
Sales
● Making regular outbound sales calls to build and maintain relationships with existing customers and regular buyers, encouraging new and repeat business
● Identifying opportunities to upsell and introduce customers to new products within our range
● Helping to list and manage new product listings across our sales platforms where required
● Contributing fresh ideas to help drive sales growth as the business continues to expand
Where This Role Can Take You
This is a role with real upward trajectory. As the business grows, so does your responsibility and influence. Our roadmap includes:
● Expanding onto Amazon EU — a significant new revenue opportunity already in the pipeline
● Growing our SKU range across multiple new product categories
● Building out a wholesale revenue stream from the ground up
● Exploring new advertising and marketing channels
The right person will grow with us — this could become a senior leadership role as we scale.
What We're Looking For
● Experience in an operations, e-commerce, or warehouse management role
● Confident communicator — comfortable talking to suppliers, customers and making outbound sales calls
● A natural leader who can hold a team to high standards while remaining approachable and hands-on
● Commercially minded with an eye for new opportunities and ideas
● Experience with e-commerce platforms (Amazon, eBay, Shopify or similar) is a strong advantage
● Experience with a WMS or stock management system is desirable
● A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, growing business
