Company Overview – Air Conditioning Engineer
Our client is a well-established and growing specialist within the HVAC industry, delivering high-quality air conditioning and ventilation installations across a diverse range of commercial projects.
Due to continued expansion, they are looking to recruit an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take the lead on installations, provide technical support to junior engineers, and play a key role in delivering projects to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will be capable of working independently, leading by example on site, and maintaining the company's excellent reputation for quality workmanship and customer service.
The main focus of this role will be carrying out the installation and commissioning of a wide range of air conditioning and ventilation systems whilst ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Air Conditioning Engineer Role and Responsibilities:
- Install, commission and test a variety of air conditioning systems, including split, multi-split, VRV/VRF and ventilation systems
- Lead installation projects on site and provide technical support to junior engineers
- Carry out servicing and maintenance of contracted equipment where required
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and current regulations
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers, delivering exceptional service at all times
- Accurately complete job sheets, commissioning records and all associated documentation
- Identify and report any technical issues or site risks to management
- Work safely at all times, complying with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
- Represent the business professionally on customer sites
Air Conditioning Engineer Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience installing a wide range of air conditioning systems
- Previous experience leading installation teams or supervising projects
- F-Gas Certification (Essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (Preferred)
- Valid CSCS or relevant Skill Card
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- Strong commissioning and fault-finding knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using handheld electronic devices for job reporting
- Organised, proactive and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship
