Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated kitchen team member/Junior Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in food preparation and production, with a desire to learn and grow within the kitchen environment. As a Junior Chef, you will assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that high standards of food quality and presentation are maintained. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Support the Kitchen Manager in managing kitchen operations and maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
- Participate in food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared efficiently and presented beautifully.
- Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the Senior Chef.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements to existing recipes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when required.
