Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our team at Branca Restaurant in Jericho, Oxford.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas, ensuring all dishes meet our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards
- Cook pizzas to perfection using appropriate methods and equipment
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts
- Assist in the preparation of other menu items as required
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Serve prepared dishes efficiently and courteously to customers when required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience with meal preparation and culinary techniques specific to pizza making is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Previous restaurant experience, particularly in a fast-paced setting, is advantageous
Pay: £12.50-£16.00 per hour
