Audit & Accounts Senior | Peterborough | Full-time
Ready to take on more and really be recognised for it?
If you're an ambitious qualified or nearly-qualified accountant who wants varied, technically stretching work - and a firm that'll invest in where you're heading, not just where you are - this is worth a read.
Our client is a leading professional services firm covering audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory, with a diverse client base spanning owner-managed businesses, sole traders, charities and large corporates. They're building out their Peterborough team and looking for a Senior to sit at the heart of it.
The role
As Audit & Accounts Senior, you'll be working across accounts preparation, audit and tax - taking real ownership of your assignments while working closely with managers, partners and clients.
Day to day, you'll be preparing financial statements for a wide range of entities, producing year-end accounts, completing VAT and tax return schedules, assisting with client audits, and liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and keep things moving.
You'll also play a genuine role in supporting and reviewing the work of junior colleagues - this isn't a heads-down, churn-it-out position. There's real variety here, real client contact, and real scope to grow.
Who we're looking for
You'll be ACA or ACCA qualified, or well on your way. You've got solid general practice experience and you're comfortable across the full breadth of what that involves. You're highly organised, take genuine pride in the accuracy and quality of your work, and you're the kind of person colleagues and clients alike find easy to trust.
You're also forward-thinking - you don't just follow the process, you think about whether it's the right one. You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and you're motivated by getting things right rather than just getting things done.
What we offer
A strong market-competitive salary (depending on experience/qualification level) and benefits package, study support if you're still working toward qualification and a genuine platform to develop your career in a senior, partner-led environment. You'll be joining a team that collaborates, shares knowledge openly, and takes pride in the service it delivers.
If this sounds like the right next move, apply today - we'd love to talk.
