Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience within a dynamic kitchen environment, contributing to meal preparation and service in a professional setting.
Day shifts will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays from 10am - 4pm with the option for more hours & paid overtime to cover holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
- Washing up and cleaning all used kitchen equipment and customer plates
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and food presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area & back room area, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Help with inventory management by organising supplies and notifying management of stock levels.
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure hygiene standards are upheld
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A keen interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary.

Hourly paid role with the addition of a share in tips
Pay: £12.21-£16.66 per hour
