Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently and thoroughly.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers to support daily operations.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and workspaces are sanitized and organised according to health and safety standards.
- Support the movement of supplies and ingredients around the kitchen to facilitate smooth service during busy periods.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold environmental standards within the kitchen.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely setup and breakdown of service stations for meal periods.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking processes, and kitchen hygiene practices.
