Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
- Engage clients in social activities and promote their independence as much as possible.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both clients and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care or support role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to care services.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory for all positions.
