Warehouse Operatives – Gym Equipment Warehouse (Only accepting candidates based within 30 mins commute of Middlewich)
Job Overview
We are a growing gym equipment business looking for a reliable and hard-working Warehouse Operative with a valid FLT/Reach Truck licence and proven FLT/Reach Truck experience to join our team.
This is a physical, hands-on role involving heavy lifting, unloading stock, operating warehouse equipment, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for dispatch.
Duties
- Operate FLT/Reach Trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and maintain accurate records
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt, verifying quantities, and checking goods for damage
- Carry out routine pre-use checks on FLT/Reach Trucks and other warehouse equipment and report any faults or maintenance requirements
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and organisation to maximise available warehouse space
- Conduct regular safety checks of the warehouse environment, including racking, aisles, barriers, and storage areas
- Support team members with heavy lifting and other manual handling tasks while following health and safety procedures
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with a solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes
- Valid FLT/Reach Truck licence or recognised FLT/Reach Truck training/certification, with practical operating experience
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and report equipment faults
- Ability to perform basic calculations accurately for inventory counts and shipment documentation
- Experience with shipping and receiving procedures, including documentation and quality checks
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
Requirements
- Comfortable with regular heavy lifting and manual handling
- Able to work on your feet and move around the warehouse throughout the day
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Previous warehouse or pick-and-pack experience is preferred but not essential
- Valid Reach Truck licence and relevant operating experience are essential
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00
- 30-minute unpaid break

Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
