Carpenter (1st & 2nd Fix)
DRB Building Limited is a growing UK construction company based in Letchworth. We specialise in domestic projects, including new builds, extensions, refurbishments, and high-quality residential works. Due to continued growth, we're looking to appoint an experienced Carpenter to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship across our projects.
The Role
Please only apply if you have significant experience in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry and are confident working independently to a high standard.
As one of our Carpenters, you'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry works across domestic construction projects, working closely with our site managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to an exceptional standard.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out all aspects of 1st fix carpentry, including stud walls, floor joists, roof structures, and timber framing.
- Completing high-quality 2nd fix carpentry, including hanging doors, fitting skirting boards, architraves, kitchens, staircases, flooring, and other finishing works.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and working from plans.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard with excellent attention to detail.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Communicating effectively with site management and other trades on site.
About You
We're looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and passionate about producing quality workmanship within the domestic construction sector.
You must have:
- Proven experience in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
- Experience working on new builds, extensions, and residential renovations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality finishes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Full UK driving licence.

Pay: From £220.00 per day
