Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Offer support to patients, addressing queries with professionalism and empathy
- Ensure the clinic remains clean, organised, and compliant with infection control protocols
- Support administrative tasks such as stock management and ordering supplies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment systems
- Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care is advantageous
- Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times
- Relevant dental nursing qualification or certification is desirable but not essential for entry-level roles
