NWER Heating is a growing, family-run heating business specialising in premium electric heating and hot water solutions.
We pride ourselves on providing a high-quality, personal service from the initial home survey right through to installation and aftercare. As the business continues to grow, we're looking for an Electrical Improver / Electrician’s Mate to join our team.
We're open to both full-time and part-time applicants, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for a flexible role while continuing to develop their electrical skills and experience.
Our warehouse is based in Liverpool, so applicants should ideally live within approximately 30 minutes of Liverpool, as this will be the usual starting point for the working day.
The Role
Working alongside our experienced installer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Installing and securely mounting electric radiators in customers' homes
- Assisting with electrical installation and fault-finding
- Removing existing electric and storage heaters
- Assisting with hot water system installations
- Setting up heating controls and demonstrating their operation to customers
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional manner in customers' homes
- Taking clear photographs and maintaining accurate records of completed work
- Loading and unloading equipment and preparing materials for installations
- Keeping our warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Receiving deliveries and assisting with stock management
- Looking after company tools, equipment and vehicles
- Travelling to customers' properties, with occasional work further afield
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their work.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous electrical experience or be working towards an electrical qualification
- Level 2 or Level 3 electrical qualifications would be advantageous
- Good practical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- A professional and friendly manner when dealing with customers
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work well as part of a small team
- A willingness to learn and develop
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- A full UK driving licence – essential
- Ideally live within 30 minutes of Liverpool
