Overview
We are seeking a reliable and fun Carer to provide high-quality support to our 17 year old daughter in her home setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in English, and have a genuine desire to improve the lives of those they care for. This role involves assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of our daughter. You would be working alongside another carer or her parents. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support in accordance with personalised care plans, ensuring their individual needs are met
- Provide fun activities like art and music to enhance clients’ quality of life
- Maintain accurate records of care.
- Communicate effectively with the client and her parents.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to promote a safe environment for all. Carers wear masks.
- Adhere to infection control protocols within the home.
Experience
- Previous experience working with a child with disabilities is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with care plans and understanding of basic healthcare procedures is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with our daughter and team members.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience and empathy at all times.
Pay: £14.00-£20.00 per hour
