The Business
Situated in the heart of the English Lake District in an idyllic location on the shores of Coniston Water, we are a well-established, family-run café business at a very popular tourist destination, passionate about providing the very best customer experience. The café has recently undergone a major extension, so this is an exciting opportunity to join us and work in our brand new facility. Open daily throughout the year, offering an extensive café menu together with daily ‘specials’ all prepared and cooked on the premises using the best fresh produce.
The Role
We are now looking to recruit a capable chef to work alongside our head chef and kitchen team. The successful candidate will have experience in high volume catering using a check ordering system and have the ability to work well under pressure. With a proven track record you will have responsibility for ensuring that every dish that leaves the kitchen is prepared and cooked to a consistently high standard.
The Person
Reliable, personable, well organized with a calm disposition. Your expertise will help maximize the potential of our unique location and surroundings. You must be well presented with the highest professional standards, have attention to detail and share our passion and commitment to deliver the very best customer service as well the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a similar role is preferred.
The Offer
Salary starting at £35,000. Day trade café, average 43 hours per week over 5 days, no spilt shifts.
Can be equivalent hourly rate if preferred.
Excellent accommodation available in modern fully furnished property close to work, if required. A great opportunity to live and work in this beautiful part of the country.
