We are looking for a caring, reliable, and compassionate Domiciliary Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. You will help service users maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while supporting them with their daily needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support in service users' homes.
- Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence care.
- Support service users with mobility and transfers where required.
- Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking when necessary.
- Support with medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures.
- Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Encourage independence and support service users to make their own choices.
- Follow individual care plans and report any changes in a service user's condition or wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
- Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other members of the care team.
- Safeguard service users and report any concerns appropriately.
- Follow all health and safety, infection control, safeguarding, and company policies.
Essential Requirements
- A caring, compassionate, and respectful approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training.
- Previous care experience is desirable but not always essential, as full training can be provided.
- Right to work in the UK.
- A satisfactory enhanced DBS check will be required.
- Ability to travel between service users' homes may be required.
Desirable
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, residential care, or healthcare.
- Care Certificate or relevant health and social care qualification.
- Experience supporting people with dementia, disabilities, or complex care needs.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
