Where You Come In:
This position is part of Beatport’s Music Services team, whose primary function is to create a suite of professional tools and services to empower songwriters, artists, labels, publishers and distribution companies. This position is responsible for making sure that all audio, artwork, video and associated metadata fulfils the strict guidelines that music retailers like Beatport demand. Using proprietary software to perform quality control checks on music catalogues received into the platform as well as working directly with larger clients to facilitate batch ingestion jobs makes this role a foundational in supporting all the other Music Services activities.
This is a systems, data and asset management position that requires close attention to detail but can operate with efficiency to maximise output. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. You need to be able to examine situations easily to be able to connect the dots in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in stress management situations.
As Content Operations Coordinator You Will Be Responsible For:
- Working across all owned or controlled assets for The Beatport Group of companies, the role will primarily focus on:
- Ingesting catalogue submissions into a proprietary asset management platform
- Making sure those submissions strictly follow the industry standards set by external partners
- Managing a delivery pipeline to various external partners
- Managing change requests for audio, artwork and metadata both with the content owner and the external partners
- Connect with Label Relations, Marketing and other appropriate teams within Beatport to address queries, concerns, and issues
- Work alongside product and engineering teams to make sure the platform remains fit for purpose
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of how industry standards evolve, and be the authority on it for the company
As Content Operations Coordinator you will need:
- A minimum of one year's experience in the music industry, specifically in digital asset management, ideally with a record label, distributor, retailer or music services company.
- A strong understanding of digital music distribution, metadata, content management and release workflows.
- Experience working with record labels, artists, distributors, aggregators or other music industry partners.
- Experience using Google Workspace, Asana, Zendesk and Content Management Systems (or similar).
- Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent English language proficiency
It would be great if you have:
- Experience working within the electronic music industry.
- Speak an additional language.
- Are passionate about electronic dance music; DJing or music production is a plus.
