Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and practical Part-Time Handyman to support the upkeep and smooth operation of our ice cream manufacturing facility. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and fully functional environment across the site.
The role will be a minimum of 2 days per week at our site in Tattenhall, hours will be agreed based on nature and priority of work.
Salary to be agreed depending on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across the site, including:
- Basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work (within competence).
- Repairs to fixtures, fittings, doors, and building fabric.
- Basic decorating tasks such as painting, touch-ups, and general upkeep of internal and external areas.
- Support upkeep of production and non-production areas to high hygiene and safety standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety and food safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of completed work and report outstanding issues.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a handyman, maintenance, or facilities role
- Practical skills across multiple trades (e.g. basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a workplace environment
