Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor specializing in infrastructure projects to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the financial and contractual aspects of large-scale infrastructure developments, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other civil works.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, implementing cost control measures to prevent overruns.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify quantities of work completed, and identify potential financial risks.
- Manage contractual negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable terms while maintaining compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely resolution of cost-related issues.
- Prepare comprehensive tender documents, bills of quantities, and procurement strategies aligned with project requirements.
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, variations, claims, and contractual correspondence related to infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost control techniques specific to large-scale infrastructure development.
- Excellent understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Exceptional analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- A relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required; professional accreditation is preferred.
