Job Summary
A H Advanced Autos is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our family-run independent garage in Putney Bridge.
The role involves diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service. We're looking for someone who can work confidently on their own, takes pride in doing the job properly, and enjoys being part of a friendly, supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Complete brake, clutch, suspension and engine repairs
- Prepare vehicles for MOTs and carry out any necessary repairs
- Inspect vehicles and identify faults accurately
- Use workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Read and interpret technical information where required
- Keep accurate records of work completed
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Provide professional and honest customer service when needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic or Automotive Technician
- Confident carrying out diagnostics and repairs independently
- Experience working on a range of vehicle makes and models
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good mechanical knowledge and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- NVQ Level 3, IMI or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential with relevant experience
- Ideally based in Fulham or able to commute reliably to Putney Bridge
- You must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
