Overview
Due to expansion we are seeking a dedicated and motivated Qualified or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment, providing essential patient care and assisting dental professionals. The position is suitable for individuals eager to expand their knowledge of dental nursing, whether you are just starting out or have previous experience. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high standards of patient care while maintaining efficient practice operations.
Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Providing patients with pre- and post-treatment advice, ensuring clear communication and reassurance
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and maintaining organisational standards
- Supporting the administrative aspects of the practice, including appointment scheduling and reception duties
- Ensuring the clinical environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and team members
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication
- Basic understanding of nursing principles relevant to dental care
- Competence in IT systems for record keeping and administrative tasks
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with patients and colleagues
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and reliability

Qualified Nurses must be GDC registered.
