NOW Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist alternative provision in Wellingborough for a passionate and motivated Construction Teacher to join their team on a full-time, term-time-only basis. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering a competitive salary of £28,000–£30,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils who have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream education. Staff work closely with students to build confidence, develop practical skills, and create positive pathways into further education, employment, and training. The Role
- Deliver engaging and practical construction lessons to small groups of students.
- Create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Encourage students to develop practical skills, confidence, and employability.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student progress and wellbeing.
About You
- Experience within the construction industry is essential.
- Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.
