Job summary
Zinc Arts is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Worker to support and empower young people aged 10–18.
The successful candidate must have experience working with young people and a background in either sport or the arts. You will use creative or physical activities to engage young people, provide positive interventions and help them develop confidence, resilience, skills and improved wellbeing.
You will work as part of a supportive team delivering a range of services, including:
- Alternative provision
- Youth hubs
- Holiday activities
- Positive intervention programmes
- Bespoke and targeted interventions addressing young people’s specific needs
- Mentoring and positive role-modelling opportunities
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who is energetic, patient, full of ideas and passionate about making a positive difference.
Essential requirements
- Previous experience of working with young people aged 10–18
- Experience or relevant skills in sport or the arts
- A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A flexible approach to working hours, including availability during evenings and weekends
- A valid driving licence
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and the welfare of young people. The role will be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Pay: £12.71-£18.00 per hour
