Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Home
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our children's residential home. You will support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care, ensuring the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and provides a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or Deputy Manager looking to progress their career within a supportive organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the staff team.
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and company policies.
- Assist with staff supervisions, appraisals, and training.
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and placement matching.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a children's residential home.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and children's legislation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
Desirable
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker.

Pay: £35,420.00-£49,423.17 per year
