Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Labourer/Improver to join our team in. This role involves supporting various construction and masonry projects, assisting skilled tradespeople, and contributing to the successful completion of building tasks. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, physically fit, and capable of working effectively within a team environment. All positions are paid, including internships, offering valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry.
Duties
- Assisting with bricklaying, masonry, and general building tasks under supervision
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry equipment safely and efficiently
- Supporting roofing activities by handing materials and preparing work areas
- Assisting with digger works
- Handling materials and moving supplies around the site to ensure smooth workflow
- Preparing sites by clearing debris and maintaining a clean work environment
- Supporting tradespeople with specialised tasks such as plastering or concrete mixing as required
- Ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to throughout the work process
Requirements
- Experience or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, bricklaying, Groundworks, ie slabbing drainage paving..training will be provided
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labour
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced tradespeople
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
