About the Role
Newport has a strong construction and property maintenance sector and at KWF Waterproofing and Flooring Services we support commercial and residential projects with reliable waterproofing installation repair and maintenance services.
We are looking for a Waterproofing Technician who can carry out waterproofing work across different surfaces and building areas while maintaining high standards of workmanship safety and site organisation.
You will work closely with site coordinators project teams contractors and other trades to prepare surfaces apply waterproofing systems and help ensure each project is completed to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation: Clean prepare and assess surfaces before waterproofing materials are applied.
Waterproofing Installation: Apply membranes coatings sealants and other waterproofing systems in accordance with project requirements.
Repairs: Identify damaged or failed waterproofing areas and carry out appropriate repairs and remedial work.
Site Coordination: Work with supervisors contractors and other trades to ensure waterproofing activities fit within the wider project schedule.
Quality Checks: Inspect completed work and confirm that materials have been applied correctly and consistently.
Material Handling: Prepare store and use waterproofing products equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Safety Compliance: Follow site safety procedures method statements and appropriate working practices at all times.
Documentation: Complete basic job records material usage notes and work completion information as required.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in waterproofing construction flooring roofing building maintenance or a closely related trade.
Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of surface preparation sealing membranes coatings and common waterproofing methods.
Practical Skills: Confident using hand tools application equipment and construction materials in a site based environment.
Attention to Detail: Able to follow specifications carefully and maintain consistent workmanship across different surfaces and project areas.
Teamwork: Comfortable working alongside site teams contractors and other trades while maintaining clear communication.
Reliability: Able to manage daily tasks arrive prepared and complete assigned work within agreed timescales.
Safety Awareness: Good understanding of construction site safety and the importance of following safe working procedures.
Mindset: You are practical dependable and quality focused. You take pride in your workmanship follow instructions carefully and stay focused on delivering waterproofing work that is safe durable and completed to a professional standard.
Pay: £2,700.00-£3,200.00 per month
