We are seeking a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice in Glasgow on a maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity to provide professional clinical support in a busy, patient-focused dental environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care whilst working efficiently within our clinical team.
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Work alongside an experienced dentist providing a wide range of treatments, including CEREC Primescan and Primemill same-day restorations, Invisalign®, and conscious sedation.
- Gain valuable experience in a modern, digital practice equipped with the latest technology.
- Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols and best practice standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and clinical documentation in compliance with data protection regulations
- Support patients throughout their treatment journey, offering reassurance and clear communication to alleviate anxiety
- Monitor and maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic clinical environment
- Manage instrument trays and ensure adequate stock levels of clinical supplies
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Contribute to the smooth running of the practice through effective teamwork and communication with colleagues
Qualifications
**Required:** Current General Dental Council (GDC) registration as a Dental Nurse NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing or equivalent recognised qualification
Demonstrable experience working as a qualified dental nurse in a clinical setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of infection control protocols and decontamination procedures Strong people skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Proficiency in basic IT systems and willingness to learn practice-specific software
**Desirable:** Experience working within a general dental practice Familiarity with dental practice management software systems Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures
Pay: From £28,935.50 per year
