About the role:
- Grinding material for use in the gel manufacturing process across both sites.
- Ensure that gel batches are prepared to meet the specifications of the manufacturing department.
- Monitor the gel manufacturing process whilst adhering to quality standards and maintaining high levels of manufacturing.
- Ensure that all process data is captured accurately.
- Carried out all tasks in safe and timely manner.
- Communicate with the process control technicians, shift managers and departmental manager to highlight any out of spec situations.
- Develop a culture that embraces continuous improvement and innovation using the tools provided via Enterprise Excellence for example using PDCA.
- Involvement in project work, as required.
- Drive a “right first time” attitude towards gel manufacturing quality and output.
- Ability to work 1 x Dayshift Monday to Friday and 1 Day Mid Rotation 6 on 3 off.
About you:
Experience:
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Must be capable of interrogating systems and have the confident in taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Experience of working on projects is desirable.
Skills:
- Must be able to work on own initiative with limited supervision.
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills are essential.
- Must possess strong communication skills.
Knowledge:
- Demonstrate extensive collagen manufacturing experience.
- Have a good working knowledge of Health and Safety standards and how they apply in the workplace is essential.
- Knowledge of Quality systems, food hygiene, SOP’s is required with the ability to comprehend the importance of these key areas and their impact on the business.
