Due to an internal NCIC promotion we have a rare vacancy for a clinical educator focussing specifically on education in end of life care.
Working as part of a small supportive team, this role will deliver on the implementation plan of end of life and bereavement care education, and professional development for clinical, non-clinical staff and volunteers across all NCIC sites. It is an exciting opportunity to support staff influence consistent quality in end of life care for patients and families every time.
The overarching focus of the education plan will be the five priorities of care for the dying person and implementation of the suite of Deciding Right templates in practice.
This is a unique role where you have opportunity to focus on what staff, patient and family experience is saying in practice, combining the use of audit data to coach staff with making quality improvements in their area.
The post holder will link with external partners and support the education development across the North Cumbria system to ensure consistency of standards, peer support and a coordinated responsive to the regional priorities for end of life care.
Design and deliver formal and informal teaching and training across the Trust, in both classroom and clinical settings and using a variety of digital resources and teaching methods
Participate in the planning processes for learning and development, to ensure that training interventions are linked to identified evidence base, service need and changes from a regional or national directives.
Champion the implementation of new models of education for multi professional learning
Role model through maintaining own clinical expertise, competence and credibility in working alongside staff in their clinical area.
Demonstrate leadership in engaging clinical teams in areas for improvement through encouragement, coaching conversations, respectful challenge and empowerment to lead change in their areas.
Support the review of current data audit approaches to ensure programmes are evidence based.
Participate in the planning processes for learning and development, to ensure that training interventions are linked to identified evidence base, service need and changes from a regional or national directives.
