Job Description
We are seeking a Payroll Systems Administrator to support the effective operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our payroll and pensions systems. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of payroll processes while driving system enhancements and supporting users across the organisation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience of payroll systems administration and payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and pension schemes.
Experience of configuring payroll systems, maintaining pay structures, and managing system interfaces.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and data reconciliation skills.
Experience developing reports and supporting system upgrades, testing, and implementation projects.
A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and deliver process and system enhancements.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining a high-performing payroll function while contributing to the development and improvement of critical payroll systems.

Vetting Process
Please note that, as part of the vetting process, the BCH Vetting Unit may need to contact your current line manager for a Supervisor Appraisal. This requirement aligns with the 2025 National Guidelines for Vetting (APP 6.5.18).
