About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Facilities Support Officer to help maintain a portfolio of supported housing properties. You will play a key role in ensuring our buildings are safe, compliant, and well-maintained, providing a high standard of accommodation for residents.
This is a hands-on role combining maintenance, compliance, and contractor coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Facilities
- Carry out general repairs, maintenance, decorating, and minor refurbishment works
- Ensure all properties are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Respond to maintenance issues and tenant requests
- Conduct inspections and identify hazards
- Support fire safety procedures
- Assist in planned and reactive maintenance
Compliance & Health & Safety
- Maintain high health & safety standards
- Carry out safety checks and report risks
- Support fire safety compliance
Contractor & Project Coordination
- Liaise with contractors
- Obtain quotes and coordinate works
- Check completed work and verify invoices
Administration
- Maintain accurate records
- Complete reports and logs
- Assist with general admin duties
About YouEssential
- Experience in maintenance or facilities work
- Knowledge of health & safety
- Strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT skills
- Full UK driving licence and vehicle
- Physically able to carry out manual tasks
Desirable
- Experience in social or supported housing
- Fire safety knowledge
- Contractor coordination experience
- Relevant trade qualification
