Panel Beater
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:30 (30-minute unpaid break, 40 hours per week)
Salary: £37,781 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for experienced Panel Beaters to join a busy automotive preparation centre in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern bodyshop, working on a wide range of vehicles within a fast-paced and professional workshop environment.
We are looking for skilled and motivated individuals with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality repairs.
The Role:
As a Panel Beater, your responsibilities will include:
- Repairing and replacing damaged vehicle panels to manufacturer standards.
- Carrying out panel repairs using a range of specialist tools and equipment.
- Competently operating dent pulling equipment.
- Filling, shaping, and preparing repaired panels ready for the next stage of the repair process.
- Ensuring all repairs are completed to a high-quality standard.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times.
- Supporting colleagues and undertaking additional workshop duties where required.
- Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets.
The Person:
- Previous experience working as a Panel Beater within an automotive bodyshop is essential.
- Able to demonstrate a high standard of panel repair and replacement techniques.
- Experienced in using dent pulling equipment and carrying out filler work.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Able to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working within a busy, fast-paced workshop environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
