Bar Supervisor - Rosie O'Leary's Irish Bar
Rosie O'Leary's is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Bar Supervisor to help lead our team and bring the warmth, character and lively spirit of Irish hospitality to every shift.
As Bar Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day running of the bar, lead by example and ensure every guest receives a genuine Irish welcome. From pouring the perfect pint and hosting memorable functions to driving sales and securely closing the venue, you will play an important role in keeping Rosie O'Leary's running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the bar team, providing clear direction, encouragement and support throughout each shift.
- Act as a site key holder, taking responsibility for the security of the premises and responding appropriately to any operational issues.
- Open and close the venue, completing all required checks and ensuring the bar is secure, clean and ready for service.
- Complete cashing-up duties, including till reconciliation, cash handling, safe procedures and accurate completion of end-of-day paperwork.
- Serve guests behind the bar, preparing drinks efficiently, maintaining product knowledge and delivering friendly, attentive service.
- Run private functions and special events, coordinating staff, preparing the venue and ensuring events are delivered successfully from arrival to last orders.
- Drive sales through strong product knowledge, confident recommendations, upselling and effective promotion of food, drinks and events.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, stock control and customer service.
- Manage customer concerns professionally, resolving issues promptly and helping create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support stock management, including deliveries, stock rotation, replenishment, wastage control and stock counts.
- Ensure compliance with licensing conditions, age-verification procedures, health and safety requirements and responsible alcohol service.
- Assist with staff training, helping new and existing team members develop their service and operational skills.
- Support live entertainment and themed events, helping Rosie O'Leary's maintain its distinctive Irish identity and vibrant atmosphere.
About You
You will be a confident, hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front. You will remain calm during busy services, communicate clearly and take pride in creating memorable guest experiences.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a busy bar, pub or hospitality environment.
- Supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Strong cash-handling and till-reconciliation skills.
- The confidence and reliability required to act as a key holder.
- Experience supporting or running functions and events.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and drive sales opportunities.
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of licensing, health and safety, and responsible alcohol service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and late-night shifts.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine passion for Irish hospitality.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
