Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled bricklayer, stonemason or experienced restorer to join our dynamic restoration team. In this role, you will be responsible for building maintaining and repairing stone, brick, and masonry structures with precision and craftsmanship. Responsibilities
- Use hand tools such as chisels, hammers, trowels, and levels to cut, shape, and lay stones or bricks accurately according to project specifications.
- Perform bricklaying tasks with attention to detail to ensure structural integrity and visual appeal.
- Mix mortar and other materials needed for masonry work, ensuring proper consistency for different applications.
- Operate power tools including grinders, drills, and saws safely and effectively to facilitate efficient construction processes.
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to formwork or support structures when necessary.
- Contribute to roofing projects by installing or repairing stone or brick features on roofs or facades.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a stonemason or in related masonry roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Skilled in handling hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment with safety and precision.
- Proven knowledge of bricklaying techniques, masonry principles, and building codes relevant to construction projects.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with roofing procedures involving stone or brick components is a plus.
- Experience working collaboratively within a team environment or alone is a must.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship in all aspects of masonry work.
Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
