Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Grill Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food preparation, excellent cooking skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. The Grill Cook will play a vital part in delivering high-quality meals to our customers while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with culinary techniques are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grilled dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
- Follow food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices at all times
- Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as needed
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of ingredient shortages
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers when required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene procedures
- Strong skills in meal preparation, especially grilling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in serving or working directly with customers is advantageous
- Culinary experience or relevant kitchen training is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
