Your local online pick and mix shop is looking for an enthusiastic and vibrant warehouse assistant to fulfil our part-time temporary seasonal position in our growing team. Christmas is right around the corner; you’ll need to be a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment that can take the initiative with problem solving.
Based in Northwich, Cheshire in the CW8 4FT area.
We’re a small business with a close-knit team. If you like sweets, then you have just hit the JACKPOT! You will be working with your favourite sweets all day (Haribo, Swizzels and everything in between).
Our business is online-only so you will be responsible for packaging and parcelling pick and mix orders as per the customer's selections in our warehouse. The joy of this job is every customer’s order is unique, you will be picking all varieties of different sweets to put together each customer’s bespoke mixes.
Schedule:
Day shift, part-time.
Initially: three days per week: Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
From 28th November onwards: this will change to four days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
Due to limitations on space and workstations, the above working days are non-negotiable.
Initially: 21.75 paid hours per week.
28th November onwards: 29 paid hours per week.
9:00am – 17:00pm, with a 45-minute unpaid break per day.
Over-time hours may be available on an ad hoc basis paid at 1.5x pay.
This is a seasonal temporary position, as such your employment will end on Wednesday 23rd December 2026.
Employment term: Temporary.
Salary:
£12.71 per hour.
Paid monthly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
· (Majority of shift) Package individual orders in preparation for posting in a timely and efficient manner. After your training period, there will be a minimum quota of orders to make each day.
· Accept deliveries and help our other team members to offload boxes of sweets from pallets, ensuring they are safely stored in the correct locations.
· Restocking of workstations.
· Parcelling customer orders.
· Some customer service responsibilities.
· General cleaning and tidying.
· Basic admin duties, which includes: reloading printers, printing customer orders, digitally updating stock levels, answering the warehouse door and accepting deliveries.
Please note that due to the nature of the work, this is a very repetitive job. Your shift will involve being active and stood up at a production line, therefore, good physical health is strongly advised for this role.

As Christmas is our busiest time of the year, we’ll need you to pick up new things quickly and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A can-do and energetic work ethic, ability to adapt to increased workload demands and be able to think on your feet. Motivated and a willingness to step-up during busier periods, especially during Christmas, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day etc.
You must be able to stand up and work effectively at a production line for your entire shift.
A high level of personal hygiene is required as you will be handling customer food. Excellent spatial awareness and an eye for detail are needed to maintain a cleanly work environment.
Experience:
No previous experience working in a warehouse/factory environment is required, however this will be greatly beneficial.
Previous work in a food handling/production environment is ideal but not required.
Qualifications:
At least 5 GCSEs at grades C/4 or above. Including Maths and English.
