Caspian Group Ltd is looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our scaffolding hire and sales team at our depot in Scunthorpe.
Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, you will play an important role in providing a professional delivery and collection service to our customers and suppliers across the UK. As a driver, you will be representing Caspian at customer and supplier sites and will therefore be expected to maintain a professional and friendly approach at all times.
This is a national driving role with no overnight stays.
The Role:
- Delivering and collecting scaffolding equipment and associated materials from customer and supplier sites.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
- Ensuring loads are secured and transported safely in accordance with legal requirements and company procedures.
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers at all times.
- Assisting with general yard duties which may include some manual handling when required
- Working additional hours/overtime during particularly busy periods when necessary.
What We Are Looking For:
- HGV Class 2 licence – valid and current.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 1 year's HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred.
- Friendly, professional and confident communication skills.
- Good timekeeping and reliability.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Physically fit, as the role involves some manual handling.
- Flexible and willing to assist with yard duties when required.
- A responsible attitude towards vehicle safety, load security and compliance.
What We Offer:
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
- Standard working hours: 07:30 – 16:00
- 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
- No overnight stays
