Aligra, on behalf of our client, is actively seeking skilled Upholsterers for sofas in the heart of Melksham. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your woodworking skills and carpentry expertise within a company in which you can grow a fantastic career.
Key Responsibilities:
- To upholster sofa furniture to the company's correct specification.
- Push projects through to delivery
- Ensure your area of work is clean and tidy with no excess stock of agreed items and no items of non-agreed stock.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are kept tidy, safe and in full working order.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in furniture upholstery.
- An apprenticeship / NVQ or similar.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work are critical for this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work closely within a team environment.
Shift Details:
- Monday to Friday
- 6am to 2pm
- (Early 1pm finish on a Friday)
Pay:
Starting salary at £13.44 per hour. This will increase once fully trained, with a pay by result structure once on a permanent contract. (Up to £17.50 per hour in your first year)
