We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join our design team in Leeds as part of a multi-disciplinary department providing detailed designs for water related projects in the UK. This role can be worked flexibly with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office and the option of adjusted start and finish times.

We are looking for individuals who can challenge conventional thinking and work collaboratively to meet a wide range of business, environment and regulatory challenges for these clients. The role offers an opportunity for successful candidates to broaden and diversify their expertise.
What does the role involve?
As a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer you'll work closely with experienced electrical and mechanical engineers along with colleagues in other disciplines from across the wider Water Business Unit in the UK and Ireland to deliver projects by:

Undertaking outline and detailed designs and specifications for electrical, instrumentation and control works.
- Providing day to day technical input as part of a team of engineers and technicians.

Ensuring design output is completed in accordance with the agreed scope of works, timescales and budgets.

Working in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines as required to deliver project requirements and added value to the Client.
To be successful in this role you will have:

Engineering, or equivalent, degree or be able to demonstrate a degree level of knowledge through relevant experience and be Chartered, or working towards, Chartered status

Experience of water-sector assets and capital projects is essential

Comfortable demonstrating your knowledge of all relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice

Experience of leadership, mentoring and coaching of junior engineers

Strong stakeholder engagement skills
