Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Sweeper Driver to join our team, responsible for maintaining and cleaning large outdoor areas, including roads, parking lots, and landscaped spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape maintenance and mechanical tasks, with experience operating various power and hand tools. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount. All positions are paid, including internships.
Responsibilities
- Operate sweeping machinery and other power tools to clean and maintain outdoor surfaces efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, performing minor maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as gardening, horticulture, irrigation system upkeep, and general grounds care.
- Use hand tools and construction equipment like excavators for site preparation or repairs when required.
- Ensure all work areas are safe, organised, and free of hazards by adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Support additional maintenance activities related to landscaping or construction projects as directed.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and basic upkeep of machinery such as excavators and sweepers.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems.
- Construction experience or background in groundskeeping will be considered advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating sweeping vehicles or related machinery is preferred but not mandatory.
