Dalton School is a thriving, inclusive primary school at the heart of its community. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team from 1 September 2026.

The Role
Working under the direction of the class teacher, you will:
Support pupils' learning in the classroom, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.
Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Assist with planning and delivering learning activities that enable pupils to make strong progress.
Support pupils with SEND and those requiring additional intervention.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence and resilience.
Prepare learning resources and contribute to an engaging classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Supervise pupils during lunchtimes, educational visits and other school activities as required.
The successful candidate will share our commitment to ensuring every child receives the highest quality education and care.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of working with children or young people (school experience desirable).
Holds a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent), or can demonstrate equivalent skills.
Has GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Is passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and continuous professional development.
Is enthusiastic, adaptable and able to use their initiative.
