Housing Asset Assistant Project Manager
Location: Bedfordshire
Day Rate: £300-£500 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Asset Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of major refurbishment, planned maintenance and improvement programmes across a substantial residential property portfolio.
This is a broad opportunity that could suit Assistant Project Managers, Housing Asset Managers, Building Surveyors, Major Works Managers, Planned Works Managers and Property/Construction professionals with relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of major works, refurbishment, planned maintenance and improvement programmes
- Assist with projects from feasibility and specification through to tender, delivery and completion
- Work with contractors, consultants and professional teams
- Support the management of project budgets, programmes and performance
- Assist with specifications, contract documentation and project reports
- Undertake site inspections, surveys and technical assessments
- Support JCT and/or NEC contract management
- Ensure compliance with CDM, health & safety, building regulations, asbestos and fire safety requirements
- Work closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders
Key Requirements:
- Experience in project management, housing, property, construction or building services
- Experience of major works, refurbishment, planned maintenance or capital programmes
- Experience working with contractors and consultants
- Good understanding of building construction, maintenance and property defects
- Social housing, local authority or housing association experience is highly desirable
- HNC/equivalent in Building, Construction, Surveying or a related discipline is desirable
- RICS, CIOB or relevant professional qualifications are advantageous
