We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Instructor to join our vibrant dance studio on a Saturday morning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a genuine love for teaching. As a Dance Instructor, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and developing the next generation of dancers, fostering their creativity and technique in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging dance classes for students of all ages and skill levels.
- Teach various dance styles, ensuring that lessons are tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance.
- Organise and prepare students for performances, competitions, and showcases.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere in the studio that promotes learning and growth.
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop class schedules and curriculum.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and continue personal professional development in dance education.
Skills
- Proficiency in multiple dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop) is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage class schedules, student progress, and performance preparations.
- Patience and adaptability to cater to diverse learning styles among students.
- Previous teaching experience or qualifications in dance education is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A passion for dance and an eagerness to share that passion with others is crucial.
