CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator (3 & 5 Axis)
Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime (Time & Half / Double Time)
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 2:00pm
The Role
We are looking for an experienced 3 & 5 Axis CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator to join a modern precision engineering business. Working within a well-equipped machining department, you'll programme, set and operate Hurco and Fanuc CNC milling machines, producing high-quality bespoke and low-volume components.
Responsibilities
- Programme, set and operate 3 & 5 Axis CNC milling machines.
- Offline programming using SolidCAM.
- Produce precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
- Carry out quality inspections.
- Support tooling, fixture and jig manufacture.
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience programming, setting and operating 3 & 5 Axis CNC mills.
- Experience with Hurco WinMax and Fanuc controls.
- SolidCAM (or similar CAM software) experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and machine to tight tolerances.
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred.
