Job Summary
The Bloomsbury Group is looking for three experienced Painters & Decorators to join our team on a prestigious listed building restoration project in Central Brighton.
This is an excellent opportunity for decorators with a strong background in heritage restoration, traditional painting techniques, and working on listed buildings. We are seeking individuals who take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and maintaining the highest standards of finish.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, repair, and decorate existing timber box sash windows.
- Prepare and paint newly installed replacement box sash windows.
- Prepare and paint existing rendered surfaces and newly repaired render.
- Carry out all work to a high standard in accordance with conservation and heritage requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Work collaboratively with the site team to deliver the project on schedule.
Requirements
- Proven experience decorating listed or heritage buildings.
- Extensive experience working with traditional timber box sash windows.
- Knowledge of oil-based paint systems and traditional preparation methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
- Own tools and PPE preferred.
- Valid CSCS Card (preferred/required if applicable).
Pay: £13.73-£23.79 per hour
