Job Title: Live-In Housekeeper/Nanny
Reporting to: The Principals, plus wider team
Family Parents & 4 Children (two full-time boarding)
Location: West London
Hours: Monday to Friday, typically a 45-hour week. Early starts and later finishes with a longer daytime break will be required. This will usually look like 6.45am to 9.45am, and 2.30pm to 8.30pm. Extra hours will be available.
Salary:  From £55,000+ DOE

The Role
A proactive and experienced Live-in Housekeeper/Nanny is sought for a family of six relocating to London, UK.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining meticulous housekeeping, confident family cooking, as well as childcare support and supervision. The successful candidate will be adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable responding to the evolving needs of a busy private household, including some weekend flexibility and occasional travel. The family’s schedule is busiest in the mornings and early evenings, so flexibility around split shifts is important (for example, early start and later return).
The family are looking for someone calm, discreet and naturally child-friendly, who is confident stepping in to support at key moments and working collaboratively within a household.
The Live-In Housekeeper/Nanny will take overall responsibility for ensuring the home is maintained to exceptional standards, aligned with the family’s preferences and routines. Alongside daily cleaning and organisation, responsibilities include light cooking for the children, babysitting, household laundry, managing deliveries and post, maintaining household inventories, coordinating maintenance visits, and welcoming guests as needed. There will be an additional housekeeper to support with cleaning needs, as well as weekend support.
The live-in arrangement includes a private bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The family spend up to nine weeks each year at their residences in Asia and the Hamptons, during which periods of leave are typically provided. There may be some travel required, though the role will often include being responsible for the residence whilst the family are away.

Child-Related Support
- Supervision for the two younger children, older children are largely independent.
- Prepare children’s evening meals and assist with light school logistics where helpful.
- Maintain a calm, kind and child-friendly presence within the household.
Family Support
- Provide warm, discreet support to the family and ensure guests are always well looked after.
- Prepare, pack, and unpack luggage for the entire family, ensuring all clothing, accessories, toiletries, and travel essentials are organized according to destination and itinerary. Maintain travel wardrobes, coordinate with household staff as needed, and ensure all belongings are accounted for before departure and upon return.
- Ensure general household readiness ahead of departures and returns.
- Welcome couriers, tradespeople and visitors and oversee appointments when needed.
Cooking & Kitchen Support
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals for the children and occasional light family suppers as required.
- Assist with food shopping and maintaining an organised kitchen and pantry.
- Ensure the kitchen is left spotless after use and that food hygiene standards are maintained.
- Set and clear the table as appropriate for informal family meals.
Household Cleaning
- Maintain the residence to exceptional standards, ensuring all interiors remain immaculate and well organised at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other household staff and external suppliers to uphold consistent presentation and hygiene standards.
- Oversee daily tidying and organisation so the home remains calm, orderly, and guest-ready.
- Assist with light plant and flower care and coordinate specialist cleaning where required (upholstery, rugs, etc.).
Household Operations
- Proactively manage household supplies, including toiletries, cleaning products and pantry essentials.
- Oversee deliveries and post, including unpacking, returns and basic record-keeping where needed.
- Support light household administration such as inventory tracking and liaising with Laundry &
Wardrobe Care
- Manage day-to-day laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation to a high standard.
- Ensure linens and towels are consistently fresh and well presented.
- Maintain orderly wardrobes, drawers and storage areas.
Requirements
- Legally able to work within the United Kingdom.
- Minimum 3 years working in a similar role.
- Willing to live in at least 5 nights a week
- Excellent references required.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and sign a non-disclosure agreement.
