Job Title: Steel stock Person

Responsible to: Steel stock Team leader
The Role
· Hands on working role Using all plant and equipment
- Fork trucks
- Overhead cranes
-saws
-plasma machine
-Laser machine
-guillotine
- Measure and mark out materials for cutting
- Identify ferrous and non-ferrous materials
· Check incoming and outgoing goods
· Unload suppliers delivery vehicles
· Mark materials for identification
· Ensure all materials are stored in a safe manner
· Interpret computer processing instructions
· Prepare customers orders
· Carry out vehicle and equipment maintenance checks
· liaise with drivers
· Ensure and Enforce good housekeeping is maintained within the steel stock department
· Carry out any other duties that the company may wish for you to undertake.
Skills required
· Good time keeping
· Working in a Team and working alone
· Ability to organise work load
· Steel knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
· Willing to work overtime were the business requires
· Full driving license
Working conditions
· Steel stock work shop
· Manual work
· Monday –Friday 7am-5pm / Saturdays 7am-12 pm as the business requires
· 33 days Holiday per year (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
· Non – contributory Private health scheme

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,420.00-£33,000.00 per year
