Community Care Worker

The Role
As a community care worker you will be visiting people in their own homes and out in the community. Some things you might do:
- Helping people with washing, including bathing and showering.
- Assisting with oral care needs.
- Assisting someone with getting dressed and undressed.
- Assisting with meal preparation and medication.
- Assisting with incontinence care, including pad changes and commode use.
- Helping with shopping, household tasks, and meal planning and preparation.
- Going out on walks, cinema, bowling and other external activities.
The role of a care and support work is varied and very rewarding. We support adults 18+ with anything from day-to-day tasks to learning new skills. We work with people from varied backgrounds and with varied care and support needs.

Pay Breakdown
Our care calls are usually from 30-60 minutes per call (30 minutes is the minimum time we offer), and we aim to keep these calls as close together as possible.
We pay for contact time with the client, starting at £12.82 per hour.
We pay 22p per mile. (44p per mile if you are on doubles with a non driver)
We pay travel time at £12.71 per hour.
£5 a month towards your phone bill.
Fully paid training and shadowing at £12.82 per hour.
Working Patterns
We have flexible working patterns available including:
07.00 - 15.00
15.00 - 22.00
09.00 - 15.00
All our care workers are required to walk alternate weekends.
Company Cars:
Should your car be off the road for repairs, we have a small fleet of company cars available to keep you on the road on a first come first serve basis. These are a mixture of manuals and automatics.
